Heredia Week 9

Hello everyone,

I hope your week has been going well! All the effort we’ve been putting in is really starting to pay off. Let’s jump into the highlights from this past week.

On Monday, we had a great time playing soccer on a synthetic field with nearly 10 companionships of elders. Despite the rain, it was a lot of fun.

Tuesday marked my last zone conference of the mission. I’m starting to realize that there will be a lot more “lasts” coming up soon. The Uber rides there and back each took over an hour. In between lessons, we were also on a mission to find corn coffee so that our friend Mario could be baptized. We visited four nearby stores and called eight more before finally finding one that had it in stock.

We then had a powerful lesson with a member present at our friend Reynel’s home.

On Wednesday, we had exchanges with the zone leaders. I went to León 13 with Elder McQueen.

Friday involved a lot of walking, and we also filled up the baptismal font in preparation for Sunday.

On Saturday, we had Papa John’s for lunch and finished the service project we started last week. A tree even fell on me—I'll upload the video to my Google Photos soon!

Sunday was Stake Conference. We had six friends attend, and we were able to seat each of them with members, which they really appreciated.

We also had Mario’s baptism! After a year and a half of attending church, he finally made the decision to be baptized. It was an incredible experience.

Thanks for all your support!
