Heredia Week 3

Hi Everyone,

I trust you're all doing well and had a great week. Here’s a quick update from Costa Rica.

On P-day, our district came together to make baleadas, and they turned out fantastic! We made about 30 tortillas by hand, along with eggs, chicken, Coke, beans, plantains, and avocados. On Tuesday, we had zone council, followed by a study session in the church after lunch. It started raining so hard that the water came in under the front door, and we had to mop up a bit.

Wednesday, we met with Daniel and had a very spiritual lesson with a member. Daniel is currently deciding whether to be baptized, so please keep him in your prayers! Thursday was quite interesting. We met a man who believes we came to be because of Eve and monkeys. I’ll just leave it at that. Shortly after, we met a less-active member who thinks Joseph Smith is the same as God, but still believes in God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost.

We’ve been enjoying a lot of delicious food with the members here. However, many people are on vacation at the beach due to the holidays, and a lot of our lessons have been falling through because no one is home. We’ll keep trying, though!
