Another Pura Vida Week
How is everyone doing? Hope all is well and that you are all keeping the commandments. It's been awesome so let's get into it. Monday was a zone pday but not the whole zone showed up. We played a bit of basketball and got lunch as a district. Tuesday we had a combined district counsel and President and sister Maddux were there. Then we all went to lunch and it took almost an hour for them to bring out the food. One of our baptismal dates called us drunk at around noon so we had to move the date. Then we passed by Edwin and made sure he was ready for his baptism. We also have been making some really good food for lunch here in the house. We made fish and chips with steak fries. We had exchanges with Escazù. I went there with Elder Trejo and Elder Andersen came to Don Bosco with Elder Monzon. The exchanges went really well and it was fun to be back in Escazù after a little bit. I still have not figured out why the sandwiches are so expensive here but that's just what everyone wants for lunch. We went to one of our friends' houses and she asked us if we cast out demons. So we had to ask what had been going on. She told us that her neighbor found a creepy cross with a dead Jesus figure on it and human hair braided around it, and in the house they've started to see figures and feel something breathing on their neck, grabbing their feet while they're sleeping and throwing them against walls. Things like that. So we will see how our next visit goes with them. On a more spiritual note, Edwin got baptized on Sunday! He was super excited and how all of his family wanted to be baptized as well so we put baptismal dates for them for February!
