Yup, Another Weekly Email
Pday is here already. Last Pday was a drag. All of our district was out doing other things, so we sat in the apartment all day and called family because we don't have keys to the steak center to use the computers to write emails. But having a bit longer to talk to my family was really nice.
Im a missionary for Halloween this year, but we didn't get any candy :(
One of the recent converts in our area is named Andres. I met him for the first time on Tuesday when we went to TurrĂșcares. First impressions are definitely a thing. We met him and the President of Areas (their best buds, and hes the reason, andres got baptized) at a restaurant. The President of Areas was wearing normal shorts, a T-shirt and tennis shoes. And clean shaven. But Andres is chilling there with a man bun, long beard, tanktop, and floral short shorts and slides. Looking a bit fruity. But he's absolutely ripped. We sit down, get some Cokes, and just talk with him. Turns out he teaches Krav Maga. Which apparently is a type of Israilain war martial art. So he offers to teach us. We, of course, say yes. So we go to his gym after and he gives us a mini lesson in our church clothes. It was way cool. He offered to teach the rest of the district too on Pdays, so we will probably go to TurrĂșcares every week.
We also forgot to pay the light bill the other day. So we spent all that night and the next morning with no electricity. So How do you write in my journal by the light of my flashlight. And we didn't have electricity for our fans either.
It's been pretty hard finding people period we knock a lot of doors with not a lot of luck. But we've found a few good people were hoping we'll progress good so that we can have more lessons!
Crazy baptism story though. We were at lunch, And ate a lot of rice, chicken and donuts. Some of the hermanas Called us and said that for priesthood holder that was supposed to baptize The lady didn't show up. So we had to sprint from lunch to the chapel and then get a ride from one of the members to go get our baptismal clothing. So technically i've baptized my first person on the mission! But i felt so sick after that run right after lunch.
