Email For All Of The Weeks I've Missed!

Hey everyone, how is everything? Sorry I have not written an email for these past weeks! It has been crazy! To make it a bit less of a read, i´ll put a bunch of the main points! We said goodbye to the Waldies, they gave us a box of Slim Jims and cookies! We had a 1.5 hour lesson with our friend Guillermo because we brought a member and the member talked for the entire time about the entire story of the church. The member did it really well but without taking a breath for 1.5 hours. We went down to Los Anonos and had a great lesson with the family of Jesus and they opened up a lot about why they have not gone to church: Also Jesus got mugged, hit by a car, and his car broke down in three consecutive days. Pray a lot for them! After sacrament meeting, Vivi came up to us and asked us what she needed to do to be baptized! That was really cool and we taught everything in 2 days and she got baptized on thursday!  We also did exchanges with the assistants, and it was really fun! I went to Santa Ana and got fed 3 times between lunch and dinner! They are such nice people! When we got back to the house we played chess, I have not played in quite a while. We got to go to the temple before Elder Oliva went home! That was really cool and we got to see Hermano Rodriguez there! Then I had my interview with president Maddux and he said that if I teach my new comp well then I will be out of the office next transfer! Vivi got baptized on thursday! All of her family came and it was really spiritual! Everytime we leave the office, it starts raining.General Conference was really cool! We had a lot of friends watching and they all loved it! We had the last pday of Elder Oliva, He bought a bunch of souvenirs and we went back to the church and played pickle ball and soccer. President Maddux came out of his office while we were playing pickleball and proceeded to destroy everyone that went against him! For the last day of elder oliva, we had dinner at president maddux's house. But we are doing good still here in escazu!

Last P-Day In Mexico City

6 more days until Costa Rica. We got to do endowments and a sealing session today at the temple, we were there for a while but it was super spiritual.  Last weeked was the celebration of independence for Mexico and it was a party all weekend. We had a mariachi band during dinner. They fill egg shells with sparkles and some with flower and you throw them, and they explode and make a bit of a mess, but it's still fun. There were lots of fireworks all night long throughout the city. One of the Elders in my house brought Janga, and after our nightly house devotionals, we have had some super intense games of Janga. For instance, one night, we had around 8 people, and we were so into it, we took 5 minutes each turn trying not to knock the stack over. Not a whole lot to go into on this email now but I'm sure my next email will be in Costa Rica and I will have lots more to talk about. Heredia Week 11

Hey everyone! Here’s a quick update on my week! Monday was pretty normal—everyone did their own thing, so we went to the church to play soccer and basketball by ourselves. Later, we had a lesson with our friend Reynel. Tuesday was pretty uneventful. We had district council and then spent the rest of the day contacting. Wednesday I had my final interview with President Maddux. He gave me a lot of awesome advice for life after the mission. For lunch, we had Caribbean rice and beans before sitting through a 5-hour training with the assistants to the president. We got Papa John’s afterward, which was a nice treat. Thursday we were trying to make up for the time we lost in interviews and the training. Lots and lots of finding. The highlight was definitely putting a baptismal date with Reynel! Friday we visited a referral’s house and ended up teaching a bunch of different things. They even gave us lunch, which was super nice. Still In Costa Rica

How's everyone doing? Costa Rica is still good. Last P-day I ate an entire Little Caesars pizza and half of a 2 liter Coke. Why? I honestly don't know. Just kind of did it and then went and played some basketball. And you can probably guess how that went. We get a lot of opportunities to help some of the kids that we are teaching with their English homework. It goes ok but I realize that I can't teach English very well. It's been pretty hard contacting and finding new people but we keep knocking doors and keep trying. Discouraging but there's not much I can do to make people listen or take a Book of Mormon so I don't worry too much. We have a lot of references that we've contacted so we will see how that goes. But we do have a baptism date coming up soon. Food is still super delicious. Recently I tried some Cas drink.
