Finding, Finding, Finding

Good afternoon  everyone! Hope everything is going well! Read your scriptures! This week has been busy but let's get into it. Last pday we went to a huge park and played ultimate frisbee and soccer and the Sturgess´s brought us pizza then we bought legos! Tuesday president decided to move everything in the office. So most of the morning we were moving desks, safes, computers, printers, etc. So it's quite different now! After we got done moving everything, we went to a new area and it's completely different then all of the others! Every door we knocked, answered us and wanted to hear more about our message! None of them went to church but we are planning on working on that this week! One of the less active members down there had been praying for a priesthood blessing and we just happened to be down there that day to give her one! Our Uber just stopped expecting our cards so we have been struggling to go anywhere! So we have been contacting a lot of people close to the house and church. Also this week we had exchanges with Don Bosco. I stayed here with Elder Brito and Elder Oliva went to Don Bosco with Elder Pykles. We went and contacted a bunch in the new area and found a lot of people who are interested in learning more and have never seen missionaries before! Before they left, the Sturgess took us to Smash Burger for lunch! Definitely the best burger and shake that i've had in Costa Rica so far! Sunday was interesting. We got 2 lunches, a member bought us burgers and then we went to another member's house to have arroz con pollo! We are in a temporary trio because one elder is pretty sick so he's chilling here with us for a bit until he can get back to work! So lots of time spent in the office! Pura vida!

Last P-Day In Mexico City

6 more days until Costa Rica. We got to do endowments and a sealing session today at the temple, we were there for a while but it was super spiritual.  Last weeked was the celebration of independence for Mexico and it was a party all weekend. We had a mariachi band during dinner. They fill egg shells with sparkles and some with flower and you throw them, and they explode and make a bit of a mess, but it's still fun. There were lots of fireworks all night long throughout the city. One of the Elders in my house brought Janga, and after our nightly house devotionals, we have had some super intense games of Janga. For instance, one night, we had around 8 people, and we were so into it, we took 5 minutes each turn trying not to knock the stack over. Not a whole lot to go into on this email now but I'm sure my next email will be in Costa Rica and I will have lots more to talk about. Heredia Week 11

Hey everyone! Here’s a quick update on my week! Monday was pretty normal—everyone did their own thing, so we went to the church to play soccer and basketball by ourselves. Later, we had a lesson with our friend Reynel. Tuesday was pretty uneventful. We had district council and then spent the rest of the day contacting. Wednesday I had my final interview with President Maddux. He gave me a lot of awesome advice for life after the mission. For lunch, we had Caribbean rice and beans before sitting through a 5-hour training with the assistants to the president. We got Papa John’s afterward, which was a nice treat. Thursday we were trying to make up for the time we lost in interviews and the training. Lots and lots of finding. The highlight was definitely putting a baptismal date with Reynel! Friday we visited a referral’s house and ended up teaching a bunch of different things. They even gave us lunch, which was super nice. Still In Costa Rica

How's everyone doing? Costa Rica is still good. Last P-day I ate an entire Little Caesars pizza and half of a 2 liter Coke. Why? I honestly don't know. Just kind of did it and then went and played some basketball. And you can probably guess how that went. We get a lot of opportunities to help some of the kids that we are teaching with their English homework. It goes ok but I realize that I can't teach English very well. It's been pretty hard contacting and finding new people but we keep knocking doors and keep trying. Discouraging but there's not much I can do to make people listen or take a Book of Mormon so I don't worry too much. We have a lot of references that we've contacted so we will see how that goes. But we do have a baptism date coming up soon. Food is still super delicious. Recently I tried some Cas drink.
