We Found A Turtle

Good afternoon everyone! Hope all is going well! This week has been good! Last pday we played soccer, watched the Chosen and hung out in the chapel with everyone. Also a random mini mall opened up close to the chapel and everything there is dirt cheap! We found those water balloons that you can inflate 100 in a few seconds and want to plan a water balloon war one of these upcoming days. This week has been tough finding new people. We have a ton of contacts with everyone we see and not one of them want to hear our message. The other day, one of the companions from the other zone came in and we took one of them out with us to do visits while his comps went to the medical appointment. We were going all over the place trying to find people, at the end of the day, the companion that was with us for the day kept asking us how in the world we find people. We just told him that God just puts them in our path when they're ready. We visited our ward mission leader and he gave us an awesome reference to a place that the elders in the past had a lot of success with, so we are planning on contacting everything up there. The office is still crazy and the office meetings always go 3 or more hours so it takes a good chunk out of our finding time. We also had a HXP group at church these past 2 weeks! It's fun to talk with all of them and hype them up to go on missions! We went on visits with them and they were all super excited to talk to everyone, hobos, people in the middle of a conversacion, drunks, they talked to all of them. Also got my toenail chopped in half so i've been in slides for like 3 days until it heals completely.  We helped a turtle cross the street before it got run over. I dont have a lot of time to write so this is just super quick and thrown together!

Last P-Day In Mexico City

6 more days until Costa Rica. We got to do endowments and a sealing session today at the temple, we were there for a while but it was super spiritual.  Last weeked was the celebration of independence for Mexico and it was a party all weekend. We had a mariachi band during dinner. They fill egg shells with sparkles and some with flower and you throw them, and they explode and make a bit of a mess, but it's still fun. There were lots of fireworks all night long throughout the city. One of the Elders in my house brought Janga, and after our nightly house devotionals, we have had some super intense games of Janga. For instance, one night, we had around 8 people, and we were so into it, we took 5 minutes each turn trying not to knock the stack over. Not a whole lot to go into on this email now but I'm sure my next email will be in Costa Rica and I will have lots more to talk about. Heredia Week 11

Hey everyone! Here’s a quick update on my week! Monday was pretty normal—everyone did their own thing, so we went to the church to play soccer and basketball by ourselves. Later, we had a lesson with our friend Reynel. Tuesday was pretty uneventful. We had district council and then spent the rest of the day contacting. Wednesday I had my final interview with President Maddux. He gave me a lot of awesome advice for life after the mission. For lunch, we had Caribbean rice and beans before sitting through a 5-hour training with the assistants to the president. We got Papa John’s afterward, which was a nice treat. Thursday we were trying to make up for the time we lost in interviews and the training. Lots and lots of finding. The highlight was definitely putting a baptismal date with Reynel! Friday we visited a referral’s house and ended up teaching a bunch of different things. They even gave us lunch, which was super nice. Still In Costa Rica

How's everyone doing? Costa Rica is still good. Last P-day I ate an entire Little Caesars pizza and half of a 2 liter Coke. Why? I honestly don't know. Just kind of did it and then went and played some basketball. And you can probably guess how that went. We get a lot of opportunities to help some of the kids that we are teaching with their English homework. It goes ok but I realize that I can't teach English very well. It's been pretty hard contacting and finding new people but we keep knocking doors and keep trying. Discouraging but there's not much I can do to make people listen or take a Book of Mormon so I don't worry too much. We have a lot of references that we've contacted so we will see how that goes. But we do have a baptism date coming up soon. Food is still super delicious. Recently I tried some Cas drink.
