We Got Free Ties
How is everyone doing this beautiful day? All is good here in Costa Rica! The area here is a bit different than my last one. Not many people are open to our message, so it's tricky to have lessons, so we are finding quite a bit! It's alright, though, because it's not blazing hot, just lots of rain. I forgot my umbrella in an Uber, so I've gotten a soaked a few times. Last pday was fun, we helped president and sister Cates pack up some of the stuff in their house because their leaving in 2 weeks! While we were putting stuff away, we found a bunch of ties. We asked sister Cates what she wanted to do with them, and she told us to take one each and hand out the rest to the elderes that didn't get one on christmas. Then after we got almost the entire zone in the central park and played soccer with some kids that were playing there.
This week has been busy! During all of the exchanges, we had to plan all of the travels for the entire mission so everyone gets where they need to be and get to their new area. It's busy in the office! It's also fun seeing all the missionarys that I haven't seen in a while and getting to know the ones who are new! The house we are in is huge, so we have all the missionarys that come from far away stay the night with us ( there's like 8 or 9 bunk beds), and it's always a party.
I do have a new comp! His name is Elder Oliva, and he is from Honduras. He's pretty funny and has a lot of time on the mission, so I know I will learn a lot from him!
We were in the office from 8pm-10:40pm last night because 2 of the Elders in our zone got robbed, so we were helping them set up new phones and getting them ubers to and from their house One Elder got a rope wrapped around his neck, so he was a bit shaken up.
Pura vida,
Elder Kirby
