9 Months?

How's everyone's day today?? I hope all is well. This week has been good! Lots of changes with the weather and the area! We had exchanges with Elder Garcia, and we had some really awesome lessons and found a lot of people that could progress soon! Lot of rain this week. We only got soaked one day, luckily. Elder Blackwell didn't have an umbrella for a bit, so he got soaked more than once. We put 5 baptism dates, but 3 days later, they moved back to Nicaragua! We unfortunately don't have their phone number, so we don't know what part they went to or have any way to contact them. We passed by the basketball court here in Filidelfia, and 5 kids were playing, so we decided to hop in a play 3 vs. 5. We easily won because Elder Blackwell is tall and could get all the rebounds. But we play really well as a trio, Blackwell grabs rebounds and passes it out to me and Barrios to have open shots. 
As of the work, we've been finding a lot of people, and lots are going to church! We're super excited for them! Sunday night, we had dinner with the Platts! It's always fun to talk in English and have American food every once in a while! 

I got a call from President Cates this morning with news about transfers, but I'll tell you all about it next email!

Last P-Day In Mexico City

6 more days until Costa Rica. We got to do endowments and a sealing session today at the temple, we were there for a while but it was super spiritual.  Last weeked was the celebration of independence for Mexico and it was a party all weekend. We had a mariachi band during dinner. They fill egg shells with sparkles and some with flower and you throw them, and they explode and make a bit of a mess, but it's still fun. There were lots of fireworks all night long throughout the city. One of the Elders in my house brought Janga, and after our nightly house devotionals, we have had some super intense games of Janga. For instance, one night, we had around 8 people, and we were so into it, we took 5 minutes each turn trying not to knock the stack over. Not a whole lot to go into on this email now but I'm sure my next email will be in Costa Rica and I will have lots more to talk about. Heredia Week 11

Hey everyone! Here’s a quick update on my week! Monday was pretty normal—everyone did their own thing, so we went to the church to play soccer and basketball by ourselves. Later, we had a lesson with our friend Reynel. Tuesday was pretty uneventful. We had district council and then spent the rest of the day contacting. Wednesday I had my final interview with President Maddux. He gave me a lot of awesome advice for life after the mission. For lunch, we had Caribbean rice and beans before sitting through a 5-hour training with the assistants to the president. We got Papa John’s afterward, which was a nice treat. Thursday we were trying to make up for the time we lost in interviews and the training. Lots and lots of finding. The highlight was definitely putting a baptismal date with Reynel! Friday we visited a referral’s house and ended up teaching a bunch of different things. They even gave us lunch, which was super nice. Still In Costa Rica

How's everyone doing? Costa Rica is still good. Last P-day I ate an entire Little Caesars pizza and half of a 2 liter Coke. Why? I honestly don't know. Just kind of did it and then went and played some basketball. And you can probably guess how that went. We get a lot of opportunities to help some of the kids that we are teaching with their English homework. It goes ok but I realize that I can't teach English very well. It's been pretty hard contacting and finding new people but we keep knocking doors and keep trying. Discouraging but there's not much I can do to make people listen or take a Book of Mormon so I don't worry too much. We have a lot of references that we've contacted so we will see how that goes. But we do have a baptism date coming up soon. Food is still super delicious. Recently I tried some Cas drink.
