Electrical Fires And Costa Rican Albert Einstein

How's everyone doing? I hope you are well and enjoying all of your cold weather. It's currently 97° with 75% humidity. I would love to switch the weather! Sure, on vacation, when you can go jump in the ocean, this weather is nice, but walking everywhere in pants isn't as fun! As of the first part of the subject, yea, we had a little electrical fire in the house. I was on FaceTime with my mom and just looked back, and the outlet was on fire. There was a split in an extension cord, and I guess was running too many things at once and started on fire. I'm a plumber not an electrician, I don't know what happened, but there was no serious damage but we bought a new extension cord and don't use that outlet until they get someone to replace it.

Work wise, it's been good! We put a baptism date for our friend Jessy! She just needs to go to church, but we are working on that. Her brother Dayber wants to get baptized too, but his mom won't let him yet :( we will see, though! We had interviews with President Cates, and he said that we could possibly have a trio here this next transfer, so I'll let ya know if that happens! I'm also teaching English classes every Saturday to the ward! It's quite interesting but pretty fun!

The 2nd part of the subject of this email is Costa Rican Albert Einstein. And I'm not even joking. This is a real person. Imagine Albert Einstein, but tan like a Costa Rican, shirtless, and in short shorts. I see him every once in a while, and he always walks around like he stepped out of a time machine and discovering Costa Rica in 2024.

That's been the week, though! Spanish is still slowly coming along, but it's alright!

Lots of love,
