2024
Happy New Year to everyone! There's no way it's already 2024. Time is flying. It feels like it was just Halloween!
For Christmas, the senior missionaries that are over our zone threw a huge brunch for the whole zone. We had pancakes, French toast, real bacon, cinnamon rolls, all of that good stuff. It was super fun, and we played soccer as a zone after. It doesn't feel like Christmas, though. It's too hot
We were talking with one of our friends who hasn't been taught in around a month. I'd never met him, and we were making small talk before giving our lesson and out of nowhere he asks us if we have wife's, we say no and explain the process to go on a mission. Then he points directly at me and tells me that I'm going to marry a Latina. I have no idea how to comment on that. I just said that we'll have to see, the sunsets are still so pretty here. There was a cool blood moon ( I'm not sure what it's called) the other night. It was super orange and bright. Very difficult to take a good picture of too, but I'll put what i could get on the google photos. I hit 3 months here in Costa Rica, so that was cool! Church was cool this week. We had 3 couples that were American come to sacrament meeting. They didn't speak very much Spanish but they said it was really fun. But the work has been good. We keep finding lots of people and hopefully set some baptism dates!
Love yall,
Elder Kirby
