108 Baptisms In January

How's everyone today? I'm probably going to say this in every email, but it's still hot here, and I miss the cold. But this week has been good! Last pday we had a zone pday, and the senior companions that are in our zone, the Olsens, brought a ton of stuff to make street tacos with! It was so good! We all helped prepare everything and it went really well! After we played some basketball and some soccer with the zone. After pday, when we had to go back to work, we ended up funding 9 new people in the span of about 45 minutes! We have our friend Rosibel, who is literally a golden contact! She has zero problems with anything we teach her and is super exciting for her baptism that's coming up soon! I also studied the entire book of mormon in English and highlighted and underlined a ton of verses that I liked, and it is definitely a treasure for me! If any of you haven't already, I highly recommend it! Now my goal is to do the same with a Book of mormon in spanish! I also gave a talk in sacrament meeting in spanish, so that was definitely something I should've prepared a bit more for, but it turned out really good!
As a mission, we had 108 baptisms this month! It was super cool to see all the numbers that President Cates pulled up, and everyone was super hyped when we saw that we had 108 baptisms! The goal for about 8 months has been 100 baptisms in one month, and we got it this month!

Not a ton happened this week, but I also want to put a spiritual thought in here, too! I love Ether 12 because it is an amazing chapter about faith and the power of faith.

2 ... and began to prophesy unto the people, for he could not be restrained because of the Spirit of the Lord which was in him.
3 For he did cry from the morning, even until the going down of the sun, exhorting the people to believe in God unto repentance lest they should be destroyed, saying unto them that by faith all things are fulfilled—
4 Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.

There's so many more verses in this chapter that are equally as powerful, but I'm love how, with our faith, we can not be restrained, and our faith will be an anchor for our testimony. Faith is the foundation of my testimony and is something I love sharing with the people of Costa Rica, and I hope they can exercise their own faith and feel the love God has for them!

Love yall lots, and I hope you have a great week,
