13 More Days Until Costa Rica
Yesterday was the one month celebratration of being set apart as a missionary. We have a lot of opportunities at the CCM to talk to other missionaries and the workers around the grounds and practice speaking Spanish. The workers name in the second picture is Brother Humbert. Me and him had an awesome conversation in Spanish, and he told me a lot about his family and what he did for work before working in the CCM. I'm so excited to be able to teach to the people of Costa Rica. Today, we got to do endowments and see the celestial room in the temple. It is so pretty. We have an activity called "Helping Others" tonight. We teach a lesson all in spanish to a member over Zoom or in person. It is probably the best way to see how your Spanish is for the field because I will be teaching the 20-30 minute lesson in all Spanish and no help from any teachers or Google translate.
We've done a lot of tie trading and tie drafts with other people in the CCM. I've kept almost all of my ties, but I traded my floral tie for another floral tie in a different color and then traded that one for another floral tie that's a different color. Some people are pretty picky about trading their ties, but the floral ties seem to be a favorite.
The distrect is still tight, and we goof off probably more than we should, but we still feel the spirit and get our study in.
Most of us got our flight planes for our missions, which is super exciting. Except we are leaving pretty early for the airport in the morning.
