Heredia Week 11

Hey everyone! Here’s a quick update on my week! Monday was pretty normal—everyone did their own thing, so we went to the church to play soccer and basketball by ourselves. Later, we had a lesson with our friend Reynel. Tuesday was pretty uneventful. We had district council and then spent the rest of the day contacting. Wednesday I had my final interview with President Maddux. He gave me a lot of awesome advice for life after the mission. For lunch, we had Caribbean rice and beans before sitting through a 5-hour training with the assistants to the president. We got Papa John’s afterward, which was a nice treat. Thursday we were trying to make up for the time we lost in interviews and the training. Lots and lots of finding. The highlight was definitely putting a baptismal date with Reynel! Friday we visited a referral’s house and ended up teaching a bunch of different things. They even gave us lunch, which was super nice. Last P-Day In Mexico City

6 more days until Costa Rica. We got to do endowments and a sealing session today at the temple, we were there for a while but it was super spiritual.  Last weeked was the celebration of independence for Mexico and it was a party all weekend. We had a mariachi band during dinner. They fill egg shells with sparkles and some with flower and you throw them, and they explode and make a bit of a mess, but it's still fun. There were lots of fireworks all night long throughout the city. One of the Elders in my house brought Janga, and after our nightly house devotionals, we have had some super intense games of Janga. For instance, one night, we had around 8 people, and we were so into it, we took 5 minutes each turn trying not to knock the stack over. Not a whole lot to go into on this email now but I'm sure my next email will be in Costa Rica and I will have lots more to talk about.
