Christmas

How's everybody doing this Christmas? I know yall are with family and friends, so I'll keep this one short. This week has been really good. I can see my language studies start to show in my day to day life. We had a big Christmas lunch at presidents house for zone conference and acted out the nativity scene in spanish.  Highlights of the week:  • I got a Coke at a supermarket and as I was checking out, the lady opened up the bottle and poured it into a bag and handed it to me with a paper straw. So I drank a Coke out of a bag. Who knows why but I just went with it.  • The sunsets are so pretty here  • We have a dart board in the house  • We knocked a house and talked with the guy for a bit. He's a chef and just offered us a plate of some really good sushi. I haven't gotten sick or died so I guess it was good.  • We've found 26 new people this week!  Well that's all I've got for this short Christmas email, but love yall lots and hope you remember Christ...

It's almost Christmas! Holy cow, it feels like I haven't even been here for a month. But there's a bit to talk about, so I'll get into it. Last pday (monday): was normal, went to the steak center, called family, ate pizza, and wrote emails. Then after went and had a lesson with our friend rosy and her daughter. They said they'd want to get baptized one day!! So me and Elder Scott were super hyped. Tuesday: we had district counsel and then went to Taco Bell for lunch (no Baja Blast!)  Taco Bell is pretty much the same here as in the States. Afterward, we had some little exchanges with Elder Crockett and Reynolds. Both companions went to our area but in different neighborhoods. They weren't the 24-hour ones. We just did it for a few hours to kinda boost the area a bit. After exchanges, me and Elder Scott went to our chapel for a little party that some of the members put on. There was food and karaoke. I sung Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. No, I'm not sending ...

Exchanges With The AP's

Hello again everybody, how are yall doing? This email is going to be pretty short because not a lot has happened this week.  But probably every pday we get little Cesar's for lunch, so it's getting a bit old, but it's either that or more rice and beans, so it's usually pizza.  The most exciting thing that's happened was we had exchanges with the presidents assistants (AP's) they are really good at what they do, we found like 8 new, really interested people in places we've knocked doors so many times. They just teach so simply and with so much of the spirit.  But the work has been slow, and it's hard to get people to commit to go to church. We are trying to contact our grey points (people who were being taught but weren't interested or wouldn't progress) just trying to do different methods of contacting to find new people. Spanish wise, it's improving, but it's still hard to understand people and say what I want to say. But it'll come ...
